The excitation system of the hydro unit is a static self-excitation that uses thyristor rectifiers in three-phase fully controllable bridge connection with digital two-channel regulation characterized by very fast response (eng. high initial ratio). powered an transformer connected to busbars aggregate transmission ratio 14.4/0.42 kV. aim this project show characteristics old ABB UNITROL 5000 as well improvements obtained installing new 6000 1 at Trebinje Hydroelectric Power Plant 1. reconstruction was carried out part regular annual overhaul hydroelectric power plant representatives company "Advensys engineering" d.o.o. - Zagreb, through cooperation staff plant. basic scope consists three units and includes replacement control excitation, switch panel.
